What Career Will Your Child Have?

This is a very good and interesting debate that what career will your child have? Everyone wants his child to be very intelligent and get a prominent position in his/her life.

Most of the parents wish their children to be doctor, engineer, scientist, lawyer, pilot etc. They don't think otherwise for any other profession.

However, parents should keep in mind several things while upbringing their children and deciding about their career.

Very important thing is that purpose of education should not be to get a highly paid job in future. The purpose of education should be to make good citizens and very well human beings, who can not only support themselves but can also do best for the welfare of mankind.

Parents should be friendly enough with the child to get awareness of what field the child is interested in. This is not very difficult. Parents can judge this from interests of the child.

Parents should always keep a room for child's will of choosing his own subjects and profession. Parents should not impose their wishes on their children. This is because, your child may not give good results in subjects of his parents choice. This is a question of mental ability of and interest of your choice.

If this decision is to be left with your child, this will be a wise decision. This is because your child knows it better, which subjects appeal him better and he can understand in a proper way. If he is interested in fine arts. You should not object it. You should let him go ahead. Your encouragement will give him extra power to fulfill his aim of life.

There are certain other good options, like policeman, teacher, chef, writer, designer, computer expert. mathematician. Manager, accountant etc. This is likely that your child wants to do his own business. But let me assure you, your child will not be able to get optimum results in field of his own choice unless your encouragement is with him.

This is also possible, that your child wants your help to take a decision which career will suit him. At this moment you should be quite honest to give counseling to your child. Never tell him straightaway that he should be a doctor or engineer. Have a good discussion with your child about his interest and you should discover which field will suit him. So, you can help him decide about his good career.
